The course equips participants with an overview of international trade regulations, explores some of the key issues and sustainability challenges facing the industry, and provides practical skills training in how to complete customs documentation and how to calculate emissions from transport and freight.

The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) is reintroducing its Certificate in International Trade with a new module on Sustainability in International Trade as part of the Institute of Sustainable Trade (IST), a new professional membership and education institute, supporting international trade professionals at every stage of their career. Graduates of the Certificate will receive accreditation from TU Dublin at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications. It will also include a new module on sustainability, and graduates will be offered a 1-year free affiliate membership of the IST, where they will have access to further education, training, professional development and networking opportunities.

Additional self-study materials are accessed through our Moodle virtual learning platform.
